THIS YEAR MARKS OUR 46TH YEAR
Jazz Goes To Campus (JGTC) is an annual international jazz festival held by the students of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia. Has been running for more than four decades after it was first initiated by Candra Darusman in 1976, JGTC is the oldest and the most celebrated jazz festival in Indonesia. JGTC has a straightforward yet brilliant vision: “To Bring Jazz to Campus!
As we step into the 46th year of Jazz Goes to Campus, the need to maintain the Legacy that has been passed on from generation to generation has become our main concern. We believe maintaining the colors of Jazz itself in today’s generation will be achieved if we embrace the Jazz Community, art enthusiasts, stakeholders, even the mundane in one perfect harmony. Events after events have been assembled to build the harmonization with the Festival being the main event. This year, we focus on creating JGTC as an environment for every stakeholder to be able to learn and appreciate the art of Jazz, also for rising artists to be heard.
